OUTREACH

Sandwiches in the City

An outreach ministry of Ascension and St. Agnes Church
Picture
Picture
Many people in our church neighborhood experience ongoing food insecurity.

How can we help them?

Sandwiches in the City is one way to do so. ASA members will supply at least 50 sandwich brown bag lunches each Sunday that will be distributed to people who need them. Each sandwich will be accompanied by such items as bottled water, fresh fruit, chips, etc., and, for those interested, a printed prayer. Distribution time: every Sunday, 1 to 2 pm Distribution place: outside between the church and the 12th St. sidewalk

All ASA members and friends are invited to participate in Sandwiches in the City.
  • We need help with preparation and/or distribution.
  • If you would like to make sandwiches at home and bring them to church or supply fresh fruit or cookies or chips (we need a variety of sandwiches, including vegan/vegetarian options; let us know what number of items would be convenient for you to provide)

If you would like volunteer as one of our three sandwich distributors one or more times per month, please let us know through our contact form.
