ANDREI RUBLEV, MONK AND ICONOGRAPHER

While today is not an official feast day in the Episcopal Church, some people use it to remember Andrei Rublev, a monk and iconographer in 15th century Russia.

In 1919, an icon which is attributed to him was stumbled upon in an old woodshed and is now preserved in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.

Spend a moment or two reflecting on the face of our Savior Jesus Christ, and feel his loving, compassionate gaze on you.
