It Must Be a Sign!

Welcome to Church of Ascension and Saint Agnes, a community of seekers and finders, who have been gathering in this beautiful Gothic building since 1875.

Why the double name? In 1948, Saint Agnes parish merged here with Church of the Ascension.  We are sometimes called an “Anglo-Catholic” church.  We can explain!

Who are we?
Composed of members from a variety of backgrounds, walks of life and political viewpoints, we are united by our love of God as revealed by and in Jesus Christ. There is a bond with Christians across the world and throughout time, called to carry humanity in hope and love. We seek to grow in faithfulness, to understand and live into the words we pray, asking the Holy Spirit to teach us how to better love one another and the world beyond our church walls.

How do we pray?
Our transcendent, “festive” style is ancient yet timeless, engages all the senses in making use of candles, incense, robes, and captivating music to awaken a sense of wonder.

What do we offer?
In addition to our life of prayer, we offer seasonal lectures, conversations in theology, and a number of events and service opportunities to deepen faith and celebrate and build community. View our calendar to see upcoming events.

How do I make contact?
Join us for prayer/worship, Sundays, in person, at 8:00am & 10:30am (or for an event).
Or, let us get to know you. Fill out this form and someone will contact you.
