As you will see elsewhere on this website, all parish activities are aimed at developing our lives as Christians grateful to God and in service to our neighbors and to one another. The various community groups within the parish, our programs of outreach, programs of formation and discussion, and groups formed for fun and the sheer enjoyment of one another's company all exist to enhance our lives, our understanding, our affections, our compassion for the suffering and those in need, and the fullness of our thanksgiving to God in the action of the Mass. Our worship is informed by the liturgical calendar, which gives shape to the turn of the year. We give attention to the events in the earthly life of the Lord Jesus and to the lives of the saints and to the changing seasons with the intent that our worship will sanctify the time God gives us. |
